O bird of heavenly origin,
Come forth…
Anchor your eyes upon the heavens,
Connect your spirit to the Divine Throne.
Come forth, do not be afraid…
Come, even if your wings are clipped.
Tend to them with loving devotion, they’ll grow back soon.
Regain your strength, We will wait…
Preen those feathers of praise and glorification.
Remove the shackles of illicit desire.
Free yourself from the cage of sins.
Come, come, leave your cage.
Regain your senses,
Before it is too late.
There, there, don’t be afraid.
Take a deep breath,
Unfold your wings,
Catch the wind and take flight.
Don’t look back, only ahead,
Flap the wings of fear and hope … as one.
Flap again, and once more.
Don’t turn back now.
Climb, climb higher… yet again, climb…
Ascend to heights which have no limit,
To horizons which have no end,
To realities beyond words.
O bird of heaven,
Come forth…
Do not delay, nightfall is nigh.
The journey lies ahead,
Allah’s garden awaits…
Home awaits…
Allah awaits…
…

There is a sense of homecoming, wholeness, back to where we come from. It did resonate with me.
