There is a time in a person’s life when the void of separation, the emptiness of lack of belonging and the longing for completeness awakens him to the reality of the Covenant he made with God. The realisation of the secret that lies within him and the unique relationship he has with God dawns upon him.

The fire of yearning is thus kindled, and his desire to know Him causes him to seek the One Who created him, the One Who he called his Lord, to find Him and establish his relationship with Him. And when he comes to know Him, he cannot but fall in love with Him and earnestly longs to return back to Him. For indeed, ‘whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah too loves to meet him.’
